Storm Damage / The calm after the storm.

Spring storms can take their toll, and this 20 year-old Jordan home took quite a wallop a year ago. The initial inspection showed significant wind and hail damage to the roof and most of the exterior.

As a result, a full exterior renovation was required. The roof was replaced with architectural-grade shingles that featured a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. New soffits, fascia and seamless gutters were installed, and several windows were repaired.

Highmark worked closely with the owner’s insurance company to assess the damage. Their appraisal revealed that siding repairs alone would be inadequate, and that identical replacement products were no longer available.

The insurer then approved complete siding replacement, and Highmark installed a hail-resistant vinyl system designed to prevent most future problems.

“Using architectural shingles and premium siding has dramatically improved this home’s curb appeal,” said Highmark partner Terry Gaulrapp.
