What is the Artisan Home Tour?
The Artisan Home Tour is the newest Parade of Homes event. The tour features breathtaking custom and remodeled homes that show superb craftsmanship and design. Only a select amount of homes are picked for this tour, as they have to meet very high standards. We will elaborate more on the requirements later.
The Artisan Home Tour is a great chance to get inspired. If you like the Parade of Home Tours, you will be blown away by the Artisan Home Tour.

How does the Artisan Home Tour work?
You buy a tour ticket (or a single home ticket) and tour the homes during the weekends of June. You must drive to the homes with your own vehicle. Once you are at home, you can chat with Highmark Builders and tour the home.
There are a few rules when touring these luxury artisan homes:
- You cannot take photos, but there will be photos on the Parade Craze app during the tour for iTunes or Android.
- Please remember to wear socks.
- No outside food or beverages are allowed.
- You can’t use the bathrooms in the homes, sorry.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
Who created the Artisan Home Tour?
The Artisan Home Tour was created by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC). They are also in charge of the popular Parade of Home Tours. The Artisan Home tour was created to showcase homes that have an artistic vision and outstanding craftsmanship.
How much does the Artisan Home Tour Cost?
The Artisan Home Tour requires tickets. A ticket will let one person into every home on the tour one time. You also get one return visit to any home.
Note: These tickets are tax deductible. Tourtickets are $10 tax deductible and single home tickets are $5.
- Tickets at an Artisan Home cost $30 at the door.
- Tickets online costs $25. These tickets will start selling May 5th.
- Tickets at Bachman’s cost $20. These tickets will start selling May 16th.
- Single home tickets are $5 and can be purchased at a home.
A portion of the ticket sales go back to the BATC Foundation. This nonprofit organization helps Twin Cities families and communities. The Foundation also provides scholarships for students interested in pursuing the home construction industry.
How are homes selected for the Artisan Home Tour?
The Artisan Home Tour is “Of, by and for the builders”. The Artisan Builders Committee selects the homes. The homes must meet certain requirements to be eligible for the tour. The home must be at least a 1.2 million dollar home or $250 per square foot.
